Hello everyone!

Sorry I don't update the blog regularly, but Ilife keeps me very busy. My masters takes all my time and exams are just one week away! Also, I am now going to be working full time (Oh dear!). 40 hours work + attend to class + write my thesis + blog + travel! Busy months ahead coming, but hey, nothing I haven't done before, and the truth is... I love being busy, tired, and working hard every day of my life, just like many of you :)

Today I bring homemade chocolate-hazelnut spread! Better than Nutella, indeed. This 2-ingredient recipe is simple, healthy, tasty, vegetarian and it can be done in 15 minutes or even less. And how can it be tasty if it only has 2 ingredients? Well... because the 2 ingredients are rich in flavour, and quality recipes can be done with just a few ingredients.

Moreover, it is free of processed ingredients, sugar, palm oil and other chemicals! If you think it will taste like Nutella, no, it won't. To me it tastes better, real and not industrial.

Keep reading to make this delicious chocolate-hazelnut spread recipe:

INGREDIENTS - 400 g raw hazelnuts

- 300g unsweetened 70% dark chocolate

DIRECTIONS

1. Roast 400g of hazelnuts until they are golden brown in a preheated oven at 180ºC for 10 minutes.

2. Peel the skin off by putting them in a bag and shaking it.

3. Add it to a food processor. Process until the oils released by the blades smooth the mixture out. While processing it you will have to stop a few times to scrap the edges and bottom.

4. Melt 300g of unsweetened 70% dark chocolate and add to the hazelnut butter. Keep blending it until smooth.

TIPS

- Optionally, you can add some vanilla essence, cane sugar, honey, maple syrup, etc. and process it. I personally do not add any sweetener. I love the taste of raw hazelnuts.

- If you want to make the spread smoother, just strain the mixture to remove any chunks.

- If you want to make it less thick, you can reduce the amount of chocolate by adding only 200 g.

- You can buy roasted hazelnuts so it will save you time roasting them and peeling them.

This is all for today. I hope you have enjoyed this recipe and that you all try making it home!

Hope to see you soon here!

Love,

Miriam
